Thailand's media industry experienced an intense competitive climate in 2015, characterized by such unfavorable factors as the slow economic development that affected advertising budget growth, the sudden changes in the media landscape due to a large increase in the number of digital TV operators, and the changing consumer behavior due to the current upsurge of modern communication technology. These major factors directly affected MCOT's performance in the past year. However, MCOT remained committed to enhancing our competitiveness through improved efficiency and leveraging its capacity as the sole media organization that operates a comprehensive digital television business that broadly covers digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasting facility and network services and online digital media. MCOT has always emphasized on delivering creative informative and entertaining content with responsibility towards the society and all stakeholders.
